Start with our [Complete Newbs Guide](https://docs.qmk.fm/#/newbs). 23 24 ## Bootloader 25 26 You can enter the bootloader in 5 ways: 27 28 * **QMK software ways:** 29 * **Bootmagic reset**: hold down the key at (0,0) in the matrix (the top left key or Escape) and plug in the keyboard 30 * **Keycode in layout**: press the key mapped to `QK_BOOT` that is the top left key or Escape on layer 2 31 * **Physical BOOTSEL button**: double tap the BOOTSEL button 32 * **Native RP2040 MCU ways:** 33 * **Physical BOOTSEL and RESET button**: while keyboard is plugged maintain RESET button pressed, press BOOTSEL button then release the RESET button 34 * **Physical RESET button**: maintain RESET button pressed while plugging in the keyboard
